Kreyol pour les Parents Haiti (KPH), created June 2005 with the mission objective to provide services to adopting parents of Haitian children. Specifically, to be the link that "would join them with their child(ren) during the long and ardous adoption processes - the link that would bring them closer to their child until the day their child joined their forever family. KFP acts as the extended family for the adopting parent. We are emotionally involved! KFP provides many personal services to adopting parents and communities - some of which - just are not programmed and come as unexpected requests for HELP!

Hi Everyone,
My name is Tanya Donahue, I am a KFP committee member and Project correspondent, I have recently written an inter-racial Children’s book “The Hooligans Have Landed”. This book seeks to provide families with the resources to expose their children to the reality of inter-racial adoptive families as being natural families.
Part of this exciting project is the fact that 100% of the first years proceeds are being donated to organizations working to re-build Haiti and as such “Kreyol for Parents/Haiti” has been selected as one of the recipients! Granny Bin's Adoption Progress Report (GBAPR), created November 15, 2005. It requires monthly visits to the "forever" child's orphanage to take a minimum of 25 pictures, play with them, give them messages, hugs and kisses - all on behalf of the forever parent. We measure and weight the children in order to provide monthly growth development information which is included in a delightful and heart warming photographic album. In addition, we are availble to make those special gift purchases and deliver them for Christmas and birthday occasions.

This is Your Life (TIYL) report is the second service that we provide. It is a report for the adopting parents that includes information that would surely, at one time or another, be needed when their child asks the curious questions about their biological family. The TIYL report is a report that requires our staff to search and locate the biological family and work with them to obtain a detailed report about all the family members. The searches cover all the four corners of Haiti. Sometimes, we can't find them but for the most part, we have been 90% successful. The finished report contains pictures of each familiy member (father, mother, cousins, aunts, grandparents, etc.), the house they were born in, how they lived each day, etc.
